**Number pattern sequence**

Introduction:

Generally number sequence is defined as the number are arranged in a row (large number or list), number sequence pattern means the number are arranged in some order so we can tell what number will be come in the missing place it is mainly used for finding the missing number in the series .so we have to arrange the number in the ascending or descending order then only we can tell what the missing number .In this article we are going to learn about this.

Term:

The sequence contains the list of the number, so we called each number in the list as term.

Steps for the number pattern sequence:

Step 1:

Here first we have to arrange the number in the ascending or the descending order then only we can find the pattern of that sequence.

Step2:

It may be the addition of the previous one or the subtraction of the previous one or division or the multiplication of the previous one

Step 3:

So we have to find that is it addition or subtraction or multiplication or the division of what number

Step 4:

Then we are going to start to find the number with the given pattern.

Example problems on number sequence pattern:

Example 1:

Find the next term in the missing sequence pattern?

3,19,31,-,23,7,-,11

Solution :

Here we are going to arrange the number in the ascending or the descending order

3,7,11,-,19,23,-,31

After that find the pattern here ,

It is the addition of 4

3+4=7

7+4=11

11+4=15

15+4=19

19+4=23

23+4=27

27+4=31

So here the missing terms are 15 and 27

Example 2:

Find the next three terms in the sequence pattern?

8,64,4,16,128,32

Solution :

Here we are going to arrange the number in the ascending or the descending order

So the numbers are

4,8,16,32,64,128

After that find the pattern here ,

It is the multiplication of 2

4*2=8

8*2=16

16*2=32

32*2=64

64*2=128

128*2=256

256*2=512

512*2=1024

So the next three terms are 256,512,1024.

It is the multiplication of 2

64*2=128

128*2=256

256*2=512

512*2=1024

So the next three terms are 256,512,1024.
