## Proper fraction tutoring

**Introduction :**

The tutoring is maintained as interactive session to group of student otherwise individual student in a class through online. The tutoring is every time helps to the student. The tutor is explaining the particular topic very clearly. The whole numbers parts are called as the fraction. The '/' represent the symbol of the fraction. The fraction is declaring as two parts. Let us discuss about the proper fraction tutoring.

Proper fraction tutoring

The general format of the fraction is numerator and denominator. The numerator is denoting the top number. The denominator is denoting the bottom number. The example is p / q.

The fraction is three types. Those types are proper fraction, improper fraction and mixed fraction.

**Proper fraction**

The definition of proper fraction is the numerator value is smaller than the denominator value. The example is 5 /15.

- The 5 is the numerator part.
- The 15 is the denominator part
- The / is fraction symbol

- Adding the proper fraction
- Subtracting the proper fraction
- Multiple the proper fractions
- Divide the proper fractions

Adding and subtracting the different denominator means first take the LCM. Next add the numerator value.

Example of proper fraction tutoring

**Problem 1:**

Which one of the following fraction is proper fraction?

1. 14 / 2

2. 15 / 35

3. 1 / 1

4. 0

**Solution**

**Problem 2:**

Adding the following proper fraction

`(14)/(32)` + `(16)/(32)` =?

**Solution**

= `(14)/(32)` + `(16)/(32)`

= `(14+16)/(32)`

= `(30)/(32)`

= `(15)/(16)`

The answer is `(15)/(16)`.
